Skift was born out of something deeply personal, a shared passion for active living, and the challenges that come with it—something we suspect you might know well.

As two people who thrive on staying fit, we, Dhanvee and Jay, found ourselves battling daily skin and hair struggles that most regular skincare products simply couldn’t handle.

From sweaty workouts to busy days under the sun, our skin took a hit, and no matter what we tried, nothing truly solved the problems we faced.

For Dhanvee, the struggle was real. Between juggling a fast-paced career and working out five days a week, she found herself dealing with painful shoe bites, irritated skin, and constant scalp issues. Every day felt like a challenge—until Jay surprised her with a special chafing cream he made just for her. A simple anniversary gift, yes, but it worked wonders! And from that one moment, Skift began to take shape.

For us, the journey began out of personal necessity. As fitness enthusiasts, we faced the very real challenges that come with an active lifestyle. From chafing and irritated skin to sweat-induced discomfort, nothing we found seemed to cater to the unique needs of people who sweat, move, and push themselves every day. Traditional skincare just didn’t cut it.

It all began when, in response to my constant struggles with sensitive skin, Jay surprised me on our first anniversary with a handmade chafing cream. He knew how much I struggled juggling an active routine and a demanding professional life, and he wanted to help in a way that was both personal and practical. The result? A product that worked wonders—a simple gesture that sparked the beginning of Skift.

We realized that we weren’t alone in this struggle. Conversations with
fellow fitness enthusiasts, athletes, and even busy professionals who embraced active lifestyles revealed a common theme: they all faced skin and hair issues that weren't being addressed by traditional products. It was in these moments that Skift came to life—a brand born out of the genuine desire to bridge the
gap between skincare and fitness.

Why did we call it Skift?

Because Skift stands for Skin + Fitness—the perfect combination of what we’re passionate about. We’re proud to be India’s 1st Athleisure Skincare and Haircare Brand. Our goal is simple yet powerful: to provide high-performance, sweat-resistant, and movement-friendly products that work as hard as you do. We’ve carefully crafted each formula with the needs of the active community in mind, from pre-activity protection to post-workout recovery. We want you to feel as strong and confident on the outside as you do on the inside.
